MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison teenager whose pummeling of a young girl was videotaped and posted to Facebook was sentenced to two years probation and ten hours of community service.
18-year old Nanyamka James was also sentenced for a separate, retail theft. A judge allowed probation for that additional misdemeanor crime to be served concurrently with the sentence in the attack case.
James was a Madison Memorial High School student at the time she attacked a 15-year old acquaintance in May, as a group of young people watched, and at least one person videotaped the beating and posted it to Facebook.
