SHAWANO (WKOW) -- One person is reported dead after severe storms moved through northeastern Wisconsin Wednesday night.
Marlo King was driving on Highway 47 in Keshena when a tree fell on her vehicle.
Friends say King is a brand new grandmother.
She's also a member of the Menominee tribe.
The tribal chairman says they are mourning her loss.
Menominee County Emergency Management officials say a woman was killed by a falling tree while she was driving in Keshena.
A large part of the county remains without power and may not be restored until sometime Thursday afternoon. With large amounts of tree damage, Menominee County sheriff's officials say some secondary roads may not be passable.
Nearly a dozen homes in the Bonduel area of Shawano County suffered storm damage. Public works employees are working to clear area roads of debris.
