MADISON (WKOW) -- Motorcycle lovers want to rename a major Wisconsin highway.
They're part of a legislative effort to rename Highway 45 to the "Harley Davidson Heritage Highway of Honor."
All Wisconsin "Hog" chapters are on, or have connections to, the north-south highway that runs through the southeast part of the state.
"This is just a highway that needs to be named and should have been a long time ago. With the Harley Davidson mystique and heritage and what they've done for this state and what they've done for the world, this highway needs to be done," said Harley rider Doug Kienast.
Governor Walker has indicated he supports the proposal.
