MADISON (WKOW) -- It's the third time in three years Trinity Lutheran Church has been hit by scrap metal thieves.
Back on August 12, a maintenance worker at the church, located on Winnebago Street, reported that someone had cut away a ten foot section of copper gutter tubing and two sections of copper air conditioning pipe, each approximately 20 feet long.
Estimated damage is around $8,000. Copper downspouts were also taken from the church in April 2011 and May 2012.
