MAUSTON (WKOW) -- The Juneau County Sheriff tells 27 News the man found dead in his Lemonweir home Sunday died from an accidental gunshot wound to the leg.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice and Juneau County Coroners Office also helped in the death investigation of 28-year-old Joshua Bader.
Sheriff Brent Oleson says the investigation revealed Bader was out with friends on the evening of Friday, August 23rd. At some point after he got home, Bader accidentally shot himself in the upper left leg with a .22 caliber handgun and died from the injury a short time later.
Sherrif Oleson says investigators were able to come to this conclusion from evidence at the scene, follow-up investigations and from the autopsy that was conducted on Monday.
Sheriff Oleson claims there is absolutely no information that the shooting was not accidental.
