CHILTON (WKOW) -- A nationwide warrant has been issued for a convicted bigamist who failed to appear in Calumet County Circuit Court on felony forgery charges.
Tim Swinea, 46, is charged in Calumet County after his former girlfriend told authorities he had taken thousands of dollars from her business in a check-kiting scheme.
Swinea was released from the Marathon County Jail Aug. 1 after serving four months on bigamy charges. Swinea's former wife, Dawn Paglini of Weston, learned that he was also married to a Missouri woman with whom he had three children.
The Daily Herald Media says a jury trial on the forgery charges scheduled for Sept. 4 has been postponed.
