MADISON (WKOW) -- Hundreds gathered Monday to help support children in our community.
"The community support that we get and awareness that we get at an event like this is also important," Maureen McGlynn Flanagan, Safe Harbor Board president, said. "People realize the service children get from our organization and they give back, and it's wonderful."
McGlynn Flanagan says they we're hoping to raise $25,000 on Monday.
Safe Harbor is a safe place for child abuse victims to talk about their experiences.
"We do forensic interviews in a safe, child friendly environment so children can tell them, talk about what happened, in a way that's admissible in court.," McGlynn Flanagan said. "And so that they don't have to repeat that story over and over again."
