JERUSALEM (WKOW) – Israel says it carried out a joint missile test in the Mediterranean Sea with the U.S.
On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Ministry says it carried out a "successful test" in the Mediterranean and on an air force base in central Israel with the U.S. Defense Department among heightened tensions as Washington weighs sea-launched strikes against Syria.
According to Russian state-owned news agencies, Russian radar systems had detected two "ballistic objects" fired from the central Mediterranean toward the eastern part of the sea.
The United States is considering strikes against Syria for a supposed chemical weapons attack in a Damascus suburb on August 21. The U.S. currently has warships in the Mediterranean.
