RANDOM LAKE (WKOW) -- Students and teachers in one Wisconsin district got a rude welcome to the new school year.
Someone stole more than 500 iPads and tablets from schools in Random Lake, in Sheboygan County.
Students got the news in class Tuesday.
A school employee is under investigation.
The sheriff's department puts the loss at $180,000.
The district's insurance company authorized it to buy replacements.
