MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- For some students, the first day of school felt a little like Christmas.
They received gifts from a woman known as "Santa" Ann.
For 8 years, one woman has bought backpacks filled with school supplies for an entire fourth grade class at Story School in Milwaukee.
But, she keeps her identity a mystery to the students.
So, each year they write her thank you cards.
"It's very nice, it's very heartwarming to do. They draw my picture sometimes and I`m always floating in the sky, I have angel wings which is wonderful," said the generous woman.
Officials say the donations make a dramatic difference for the kids, as 95% of them receive a free or reduced lunch.
