MADISON (WKOW) – Wisconsin's bow hunting season is set to open on September 14.
The state's archery season will run through November 21. The only interruption will be the two-day statewide youth hunt on October 5 and October 6.
Officials say the late season will run from November 23 through January 5.
Last year 263,852 bow hunters took to the woods and killed 94,267 deer. Officials say both of those totals are up from 2011, when 255,426 hunters killed 90,200 deer.
