PLATTEVILLE (WKOW) -- UW-Platteville Police Department says late Saturday night, five men attacked a female student.
Around 11:15 p.m. on September 7th, the UW-Platteville student was jogging on a path near the Bridgeway Commons. The victim saw five men in dark hoodies standing by the bridge, and she turned around and ran away. The men chased after her.
The suspects pushed her to the ground and pulled off her sweatshirt and t-shirt. One suspect told the others to stop and pulled some of them away. The group of men stopped.
The victim says she kneed one of the men in the cheek and ran away. She said she was hit in the back of the head, but was not injured.
A security alert was sent to students, faculty, and staff around 2 a.m.
The UW-Platteville Police Department say the missing t-shirt and sweatshirt are gray with no print. The five suspects were white males with no facial hair or distinguishing marks. All of the suspects wore long-sleeved black hoodies and dark pants.
Three suspects were described as skinny, and the other two had an average build. All five were about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
One suspect may have a bruise or mark from being hit in the cheek.
