MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Attic Angel Place, a non-for profit senior living residence, is celebrating a recent $8.5 million renovation with an open house on Sunday.
The renovation includes a 42,000 square foot addition with a new rehabilitation center and 20 more assisted living units. Other new amenities are a second library, a rooftop flower garden, and other open spaces.
The upgrades, which began last May, are an opportunity for the organization to accommodate senior residents seeking more independence.
"We are always an organization that looks at what are the needs of the community and trying to see what those needs are and what we can do best to meet those needs," says Mary Ann Drescher, president of the Attic Angel Association.
Drescher says people staying there wanted to feel more at home and get cost-effective care services.
