Police search for hit and run driver

VERONA (WKOW) -- Dane County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the driver in a hit and run accident that injured a bicyclist this morning in the town of Verona.

It happened on Highway PD near Country View Road around 7:20 am. Police say a blue sedan, possible a Nissan, clipped the biker with passenger-side mirror. The 58-year-old man was knocked off his bike and later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car will have visible damage to the passenger side. Officials ask anybody with information on the driver or the blue sedan to call the Dane County tip line at (608) 284-6900. Tips can also be left on their website at danesheriff.com
