MADISON (WKOW) – As part of the national Child Passenger Safety Week, nearly 1,000 free infant safety seats and booster seats will be distributed across Wisconsin as a reminder to use proper child safety restraints.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is distributing the seats to about two dozen hospitals and clinics to be given to eligible low-income mothers and families. The seats were purchased with federal funding.
