MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- The Middleton Fire Department hosted the 7th Annual Family Safety Day on Saturday.
The event serves as an opportunity for parents throughout the Middleton area to learn valuable safety tips from officials at the Middleton Fire Department, Police, and EMS.
According to Middleton Police Department's Community Awareness Officer Jill Tutaj, some of the tips at the event are extremely important for parents to learn.
"I think one of the most important things is to have people go through Middleton EMS, because we are going through the car seat safety checks there... a lot of times they're not quite set up right so it's good to have someone who's trained in it to have it done," says Tutaj.
This year's Family Safety Day also included more than 20 local organizations which provided not only valuable information for parents, but also fun activities for the children.
