MADISON (WKOW) -- A campaign to benefit children with down syndrome kicks off in Madison.
The GiGi's playhouse campaign will kick off on September 18th at Hotel Red. The event will be on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This program will help teach life-skills to those with down syndrome in our community.
We know that adults and children with down syndrome have the potential to do anything their typically developing counterparts can do. But, it takes a combination of more time and effective therapies to help people with down syndrome fulfill that potential.
Sterling Lynk from the Madison Area Down Syndrome Society joins Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to discuss the campaign and learning center and how you can get involved.
