TOWN OF BRISTOL (WKOW) -- Dane County Sheriff's deputies discovered two bodies in a home after responding to a welfare check from an employer.
The sheriff's office reports an employer was concerned after an employee didn't show up for work as expected and called authorities. Around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sheriff's deputies went to a home on County Highway N in the town of Bristol to check in, and found two people dead inside the house.
Authorities have identified the dead as an adult man and an adult woman, but have not released any additional information, except to say they believe greater community is not at risk.
"No one is in danger," says DCSO spokesperson Elise Schaffer. "We don't feel like this is something that people should be concerned about their safety."
The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office is scheduled to perform autopsies on both bodies Wednesday morning. Officials expect to release more information about the incident at that time.
Meanwhile, neighbors are left wondering about the family that's been living in the farm house for decades.
