EAU CLAIRE (WKOW) – A Wisconsin man who successfully climbed Mount Everest is sharing his wisdom and journey with local students.
Lance Fox visited students to talk about overcoming challenges and his personal journey to the top of Mount Everest.
Fox not only overcame physical challenges, but also many mental and emotional obstacles during his climb. It was in memory of his father who passed away when Fox was 16-years-old.
His presentation encourages kids to respect themselves and work with others to achieve goals.
Fox says, "Face some challenges along the way, but if you believe in it and you're willing to work hard, probably going to have to make some sacrifices, you can do it."
Fox also set a record during his 2009 climb by holding the record for wearing a cheese head atop one of the highest places in the world. The cheese head is proudly on display at Lambeau Field.
