RIVER FALLS (WKOW) -- The quick actions of a River Falls school bus driver may have saved lives.
The driver was able to get 40 students off a bus before it went up in flames on Thursday in River Falls.
The bus driver noticed the flames as he was driving the kids to school, when he pulled over and got all the kids off.
"I knew what I had to do and I had to get all the kids off safely and I had to make sure that all the kids were off and that's why I went to the back of the bus, and double checked. And I was the last one off the bus, and that's part of my job," said bus driver Steve Linehan.
No one was injured.
Officials are investigating the fire, but they believe it could be electrical issues that started it.
