CHICAGO (WKOW) – Chicago Police have filed charges in connection with a park shooting that injured 13 people, including a three-year-old.
Twenty-one-year-old Byron Champ and 20-year-old Kewane Gatewood were charged Monday night with three counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Authorities believe the two played a significant role in the shooting, but say neither is the actual shooters so the investigation continues.
As many as three people opened fire on a basketball court on Thursday.
Police believe the incident is gang related.
