MADISON (WKOW) -- Police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting of two Madison Metro bus windows over the weekend.
Officers cited 20-year-old Marlon Thompson for criminal damage to property and discharging a firearm in city limits.
According to police, Thompson shot the windows Sunday night around 9:45 as the bus traveled down the 2300 block of Allied Drive.
A mother and her two-year old child were sitting right next to one of the damaged windows.
Officers found each window had a small hole with "spider webbing" rippling out from where a pellet or BB penetrated glass.
Utilizing witness statements, officers located a 20-year old man inside a nearby apartment. They recovered a pellet gun was recovered from beneath a couch cushion there.
