JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Construction is underway on a new hospice center in Janesville.
"It means when their symptoms cannot be managed at their end of life in their homes, they have some place to go to receive that acute care in a home-like setting that's nearby," said Jayme Roth, development manager/general manager for Agrace Rock County.
An anonymous donation of $2 million helped Agrace begin construction. It still needs to raise about $2.2 million to reach its goal. Agrace says it will begin a public campaign to raise the remaining money.
The center is expected to open in the summer of 2014.
