DEPERE (WKOW) -- The Packers don't have a game this weekend, so some of the players are using the time for public service events.
A big one is the team's annual playground builds.
This week, the Packers are putting up a playground at Braisher Park in DePere.
Players, staff and other volunteers installed the custom-built playground equipment in two shifts.
"You know, it's amazing the way these things are organized. At the end of the day, we'll have a brand new park for kids to be able to enjoy," said Packers president, Mark Murphy.
Packers alumni Chris Jacke and Bill Schroeder were in town to help finish the project by spreading wood chips and pouring concrete.
