TOWN OF NAMAKAGON (AP) -- Authorities have recovered the body of a Cottage Grove man who drowned in Lake Namakagon in northwestern Wisconsin.
TOWN OF NAMAKAGON (AP) -- Authorities resumed the search for a man who apparently drowned in Lake Namakagon in northwestern Wisconsin.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office says the accident was reported around 3:30 p.m. on September 27. The 911 caller said a 69-year-old man from the Madison area fell out of his boat. His fishing partner tried to help him, but he disappeared under the water.
Searchers, including the Sawyer County Dive Team, continued the search on September 28, but were unable to find the victim. The search resumed September 29.
The victim's name has not been released.
