MADISON (WKOW) -- A second teenager has been arrested, after police say the pair crashed a stolen truck into a Town of Madison home.
The crash happened Monday night on the 2000 block of Beld Street. Officers say a 17-year-old male passenger ran from the scene after it happened. The homeowner held the driver, a 15-year-old girl, until police arrived.
Police have now made contact with the passenger, taken him to jail and are requesting charges of operating a motor vehicle without consent, party to a crime of recklessly endangering safety and resisting and obstructing an officer.
The 15-year-old is also facing criminal charges.
Officers say they were actively patrolling the area because of a rash of burglaries there. The house was so severely damaged it has been deemed uninhabitable.
