MADISON (WKOW) -- A former church official accused of sexually assaulting a child will be sentenced in court on Friday.
James Gillespie was convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child earlier this year. Officials say he assaulted the same 14-year-old boy as a former Mount Horeb police officer, though both men claim they thought the boy was of legal age when they met him.
Gillespie will be in court Friday morning around 10:30. He was released from his position at a Middleton church upon his arrest.
