MADISON (WKOW) -- Three young women are preparing to walk about 150 miles for a good cause.
Abby, Megan and Melanie Walker, 24-year-old triplets from Waunakee, are walking from Madison to Chicago to raise funds for Haiti Allies.
Haiti Allies is a Madison-based non-profit organization that has been in a partnership with Haitians for over 20 years. The organization's efforts are centered around leadership and capacity building, education, technical training, food and housing.
The girls plan to begin their walk from the state Capitol on October 25, and hope to end in Chicago on November 2. They plan to walk ten miles a days to complete their journey on time.
The girls plan to use the money they raise from the walk to go specifically towards Haiti Allies' partnership with Citè Soleil Community School in Haiti.
For more information on Haiti Allies, go to the organization's website.
