MADISON (WKOW) -- One neighborhood in Madison has some new bragging rights.
The Williamson-Marquette neighborhood is one of the nation's 10 best.
The American Planning Association recognized the area for its revitalization efforts and strong community engagement.
Neighborhood association member David Mollenhoff says the honor reminded him of an old motto the neighborhood had.
"And that motto read, 'Better neighborhoods will be created when citizens care enough.' That's the way it always has been and that's the way it will always be."
Wil-Mar leaders gave some credit to the neighborhood plan put together more than 40 years ago for making it such a livable place.
