MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's largest nursing home is asking to close its doors.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Milwaukee is asking the state Department of Health Services to shut down. The company says the facility's size, age and design are no longer consistent with consumer preferences.
If approved about 240 patients and residents would be affected, along with about 400 employees. Staff will help residents and families find a new place to live.
