MONROE (WKOW) -- Monroe police are investigating a weekend stabbing. The incident took place at a home in the 900 block of 10th Street shortly after 2:00 Saturday morning.
Police were told a 36-year-old man was at the Monroe Clinic Hospital emergency room with stab wounds.
The suspect, 30-year-old Joshua Powers, was believed to still be at the residence. Officers secured the location and were able to have Powers come outside, where he was arrested.
Initial investigation reveals Powers stabbed the victim after becoming angered over a relationship with a woman. The victim was hospitalized with, sustaining serious, but non-life threatening, injuries. He had been stabbed multiple times.
Officers were assisted by deputies from the Green County Sheriff's Department. The incident remains under investigation by the Monroe Police Department.
