MADISON (WKOW) -- A 12-year-old boy was counseled by a Madison police officer on the dangers of walking alone at night.
The boy had been walking on W. Badger Road around 9:30 Tuesday night. He had headphones on and was carrying his cell phone in his hand.
He stated his phone was snatched out of his hand by a Hispanic male in his mid teens. The victim stated he ran after the suspect and punched him in the head. A struggle took place and then the victim was struck.
In the end, the boy got his phone back.
He describes the teen suspect as having short hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and white gym shorts with a single black vertical line on each side.
