GREEN BAY (WKOW) – Twenty-three dogs were surrendered to the Bay Area Humane Society after a puppy mill owner decided to close his doors.
The humane society hopes to find better living situations for all of the dogs but say the puppies will need a lot of love to adjust to being around humans.
Before any dog is adopted, they'll spend time with an animal behaviorist and shelter volunteers. The dogs will also be given wellness checkups and be either spayed or neutered.
