MADISON (WKOW) -- St. Mary's Hospital plans to lay off 41 employees across its locations in Baraboo, Madison and Janesville.
In a filing with the state Department of Workforce Development, St. Mary's says it needs to cut 38 workers from its hospital in Madison, two from St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo and one from St. Mary's Janesville.
The company says the layoffs will begin December 9.
In its filing with the DWD, St. Mary's says the reduction is due to the "current uncertain economic climate surrounding the healthcare industry, along with current business conditions."
The positions being cut are mostly administrative.
