JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Janesville woman is using her personal experience in America to change lives in her home country.
Blackhawk Technical College hosted an awareness event for the Hope Institute of Uganda. Funds raised at a silent auction and jewelry sale will toward the institute's work building schools and sending medical supplies to Uganda.
Founder Joy Ngobi says she and her husband created the institute after her sister died, who Ngobi says had traits she wants to spread throughout Uganda.
