ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Three people were hurt in a rollover crash in Rock County Sunday afternoon.
According to a release from the Rock County Sheriff's Office, a pickup truck and a minivan collided at the intersection of Townline Road and Highway G in the town of La Prairie. The truck had rolled a number of times, and both people inside were thrown from the vehicle. The minivan was also heavily damaged.
Officials say an investigation determined the truck driver failed to yield the right of way and pulled out into the intersection. That's when the van hit the truck, spinning it.
Authorities say open intoxicants were discovered inside the truck. Neither men in the truck were wearing seatbelts. They've been identified as Ruben Abarca Mgudino, 32, and Miguel De Aquino Benito, 25, both from Beloit.
Mgudino is in the hospital in serious condition, De Quino Benito is in critical condition. The woman driving the van was also taken to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, although authorities believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
