MADISON (AP) -- The Wisconsin state Senate has passed a bill that would allow bars and liquor stores to sue underage customers or their parents for $1,000.
MADISON (WKOW) – The Senate will vote on a bill on Tuesday that would allow bars and liquor stores to sue underage drinkers.
The measure would allow bar owners to take underage drinkers to court if they purchase alcohol from their business.
If the underage drinker is found guilty, they would have to pay the business owner $1,000. If the underage drinker is a minor, their legal guardians would be liable for the fine.
