MADISON (WKOW) –The State Assembly will honor many Honor Flight Network organizers on Tuesday.
More than 30 organizers will be saluted and recognized during the passage of Assembly Resolution 18, which was written in their honor. The resolution thanks the people who make honor flights possible for Wisconsin veterans.
Over the next three weeks, four groups of Wisconsin veterans will travel to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials erected in their honor.
The Honor Flight program began in Ohio in 2005 and has spread to 42 states.
