GLENDALE (WKOW) -- A suburban Milwaukee high school closes for the day after a threat and two suspicious packages are found.
According to WISN in Milwaukee, Glendale Police Department spokesman Dan Tyk says a note was found in the school Wednesday morning. School authorities placed the students in lockdown as police searched the building.
During a search of the F wing, second floor, two suspicious packages were located and are now being addressed by authorities.
North Shore Fire Department says students will be taken to Glen Hills Middle School and parents are to pick up their students at that location.
GLENDALE, Wis. (AP) -- About 1,100 students have been evacuated from a suburban Milwaukee high school after a threatening note and suspicious packages were found.
Officials at Nicolet (nik-oh-LAY') High School in Glendale say the school went into lockdown after the note was found, then was evacuated after packages were found in a first floor bathroom and on the second floor.
School has been canceled for the day.
