MADISON (WKOW) -- WPS Health Insurance announced Friday it will cut 175 jobs, 95 of them by the end of the year.
The State Journal reports WPS said the cuts stem mostly from the end of a state insurance plan for high-risk patients.
It's ending due to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
A vast majority of the company's 2,900 employees are in the Madison area.
