HUDSON (WKOW) – Three children are recovering from a car crash that killed their father in western Wisconsin on Saturday.
Wisconsin transportation officials say 38-year-old Scott Shoemaker, of Black River Falls, was killed when he missed a stop sign on Old Highway 35 near Hudson and crashed into an oncoming minivan.
Officials say Shoemaker's two daughters, ages 12 and 16, and his 14-year-old son were taken to Regions Hospital in the Twin Cities.
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the driver of the minivan was taken to a hospital in Hudson but suffered non-life threatening injuries.
