WAUSAU (WKOW) – The Red Cross held an event this weekend to help drivers prepare for disasters.
The event was called the ERV, or emergency response vehicle, Strav-A-Ganza. The event included indoor classes and driving tests.
In case of a disaster, the emergency response vehicles help bring food and supplies to places across the country.
Organizers say the tools that drivers learn will help prepare them for when they need to respond. The event had trainees from all over Wisconsin and nearby states.
