PORTAGE (WKOW) -- A rally is being held all day in Portage in support of the program Northwoods.
The My Work, My Choice Rally is being held to help the community based rehabilitation program from being halted.
The rally is being held from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Northwoods Inc located at N6510 US Highway 51 in Portage.
The purpose is to bring attention to the program and the people who use the resources as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services could eliminate or limit funding for it in January.
Adults with disabilities use the day center services and prevocational training programs.
At the rally Wednesday, you can stop and sign an open letter to Senators Johnson and Baldwin asking them to modify working in a current proposal so funding stays in place.
