KENOSHA (WKOW) -- Two female prison guards in Kenosha are charged with second degree sexual assault of a male inmate.
Lisa Hawkins (33), of Salem, and Karina Herrera (40), of Kenosha, also face other charges. Hawkins is charged with obstructing officers and Herrera faces a charge of delivering illegal articles to an inmate.
Herrera allegedly supplied a cell phone to the inmate and a review of the phone found images of the two involved in sexual activity. There was also video on the phone of Hawkins and the inmate sexually involved.
Hawkins' defense attorney, Christopher Rose, states the case is based on circumstantial evidence and his client will plead not guilty.
