WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin company has recalled another more than 100,000 pounds of food because of possible listeria contamination.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, Garden Fresh Foods, of Milwaukee, is recalling 103,080 additional pounds of ready-to-eat chicken and ham products.
This weeks' recall follows two others earlier this fall, when Garden Fresh recalled 25,748 pounds of products. The food items were distributed to retail and food service establishments nationwide.
The products were made between September 6 and October 10. Authorities are concerned people or businesses may still have some of these foods in the freezer.
No illnesses have been reported. Listeria contamination can cause an infection. Symptoms of fever, muscle aches, nausea and diarrhea may begin a few days after eating contaminated food, but it may take as long as two months to experience symptoms.
