Gomez takes home a Gold Glove

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Carlos Gomez snapped a 31-year drought for the Brewers. He became the first Milwaukee big leaguer to win a Gold Glove Award since 1982.

Gomez edged out Andrew McCutchen and Denard Span for the award. Gomez had a career-high 12 assists. He also robbed five potential home runs and did not commit an error over his final 32 games.

The center fielder becomes the fifth Brewer to win the award. The last Milwaukee player to do it was Robin Yount in 1982. The Brewers had the longest drought in the history of the award.
