Almost 3 years ago Jesi decided that she wanted to volunteer to give back to her community.
She researched numerous non-profit organizations in the area, but when she found WAGS she was beaming with excitement.
The chance to work with dogs (like me!) and help someone else seemed like the ideal opportunity.
She had numerous questions about becoming a puppy raiser, but the more she learned about the program, the more she was convinced it was the right fit for her.
So after quite a bit of convincing, nagging & begging, she finally got her husband, Justin on board.
In April of 2011 Jesi started training her first puppy, Opal and since then she has contributed to the training of Piper and Ocean as well and now me!
Jesi has told me that the past 2 ½ years has been a journey she never expected – she started this to give back to others, but didn't realize how much she would gain from it herself.
You're going to learn a lot about what it takes to be a puppy raiser with WAGS and train dogs like me.
