RACINE (WKOW) -- Police say a customer was shot in the chest when two masked suspects held up a grocery store in Racine.
Authorities say a 16-year-old male suspect also suffered a gunshot wound during the armed robbery Monday afternoon. Police say the teenager and a 21-year-old male suspect entered Sixteenth Street Foods about 3:00 p.m. and ordered workers and patrons to the ground. One customer was shot and the suspects fled.
While officers were investigating the crime, they received information about the teenager who had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was outside another grocery store several blocks away. The juvenile was treated at a local hospital and arrested.
Authorities say the 40-year-old customer who was shot in the chest will be OK. Police have also arrested the 21-year-old suspect.
