MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison's common council voted to extend the city's downtown alcohol license density ordinance.
The requirements were set to expire January 1.
Now they'll expire April 1.
It gives council members time to tweak the legislation.
The ordinance was passed in 2007 in an effort to slow the proliferation of new bars downtown.
