MADISON (WKOW) -- A veteran of the Madison Metropolitan School Board won't be running for a third term.
Marj Passman made that announcement Tuesday.
She says she plans to remain active as a volunteer, but now plans to spend more time with her grandchildren and husband.
Passman says, "Because of the ongoing attack on public education in our State, it is more important than ever that the voice of teachers and staff be heard on our School Board and in our State Capitol. It is hard to leave when there is so much more work to be done, but I am confident others with the courage, vision and background to continue this important struggle will step up."
Passman also thanked the Madison community for the opportunity to serve.
